Polacek, Senior. In partnership with Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, &lt;strong&gt;the first annual John J. Polacek, Senior Memorial Scholarship &lt;/strong&gt;will be available to new and currently enrolled students in the Welding Technology Program.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Two years of full-time tuition will be awarded (worth $8,470.00 for Cambria County Residents) for an undetermined amount of recipients.&lt;/strong&gt; The recipient must be able to commute and work for JWF in Johnstown during summer and winter breaks. Following their graduation, the recipient agrees to a &lt;em&gt;minimum 12 month work commitment after graduation&lt;/em&gt;. This is the largest National College Fair in the country with workshops in financial aid and the NCAA as well as college representatives from most major national colleges and area schools. One is a Global Entrepreneurship  It’s purpose is to expose students to the topics of entrepreneurship, global networking, team building, project management, leadership and working in a culturally diverse environment. It is held at Lehigh University. The second program is the University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy. It introduces students to the world of health care, including issues of primary care, prevention, public health, career exploration, human growth and development and areas of practice. Transportation costs and some activity costs are not included. The application process is extensive.
